The Indian agriculture sector is the backbone of the country’s economy, and it plays a vital role in sustaining the livelihood of millions of people. With a primarily agrarian society, a considerable part of the population in India depends on the agriculture sector for their livelihood. This insurance scheme provides financial security and income stability and ensures a better livelihood for farmers in Haryana. This current study used secondary data from the Haryana agriculture department and the PMFBY website to report the performance of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana in Sirsa, Jind, Kurukshetra, and Rewari districts of Haryana. The study is entirely based on secondary data from 2018 to 2024. Performance of Sirsa district has been continuously higher in terms of total cultivators covered, total area covered, no. of beneficiaries, claim amount, premium, and gross premium. Kurukshetra district had a lower figure overall. Jind district performed better in terms of total farmers, area covered, and gross premium than Rewari district. However, the Rewari district had significant coverage rather than a decline in the total number of beneficiaries.
